Heather O’Reilly, one of the most successful players in U.S. Women’s National Team history, announced her retirement from international soccer at the age of 31.
O’Reilly has played for the U.S. WNT since she was 17. She made her debut on the team during the Algarve Cup against Sweden in 2002.
She is seventh all-time in U.S. WNT history playing in 230 caps. O’Reilly will step out on the field one last time Sept. 15, to end her 15-year international career.
