Update: Texas State University Police have identified and arrested the person who pointed a rifle at a student in the Bobcat Stadium parking lot on Nov. 3.
According to an email from the University News Service, the subject was not a student, but a San Marcos resident. He has been charged with a Class A misdemeanor for deadly conduct.
The University Police Department received a report at approximately 7:48 p.m. that an African American male pointed a long gun in the direction of a student in the Bobcat Stadium parking lot.
According to an email sent out by the University News Service, the suspect is believed to be in his forties and stands at a height of six feet and four inches. The alleged gunman was reportedly wearing a blue bandana around his neck.
The subject is believed to be traveling north in a Ford F-250 pickup truck, according to the email.
