144-yard reception.

Georgia State set the tone with a 44-yard catch from Robert Davis, junior wide receiver. Nick Arbuckle, senior quarterback took the shotgun snap and threw a deep fly route to Davis. The reception set up Arbuckle for a record-setting day. He finished with a school record of 471 yards passing.

2Fourth and one for Texas State in the red zone.

Tyler Jones, junior quarterback, took the fourth-down snap and faked the handoff. Jones kept the ball and juked out a Georgia State defender before diving toward the first down marker. The run for Jones set up the Bobcats’ touchdown on the next play.

3Stephan Johnson

In the most bizarre way, the Bobcats’ defense finally managed to get an interception. Yet, who knew it would take a full team effort? Nick Arbuckle’s pass was batted up in the air and bounced off of multiple Bobcat defenders before Johnson eventually intercepted the pass. At one point, even Arbuckle himself ran up and had a chance for it.

4Robert Davis 34-yard receiving touchdown.

The Georgia State offense got going in a big way. Davis managed to get wide open in the Bobcats’ secondary and haul in the first touchdown of the day. The receiving touchdown for Davis put the Panthers ahead and set the tone for their offense.

5Lumi Kaba 50-yard field goal.

The field goal by Kaba brought the score to within one. Kaba hit a booming kick with the force to be good from 60 yards. His right foot has been one of the surprising bright spots on this Bobcats team. The legend of Kaba continues.
