After years of crime sprees throughout Texas, Clifton Bryant Hennington, 37, has been sentenced to life in prison and a $10,000 fine for aggravated robbery by a Hays County jury on May 9.
According to a Hays County press release, Hennington was found guilty of aggravated robbery by the same jury on May 5. Hennington robbed store owner, Steve Parker, at gunpoint at the Hays City Store in Driftwood, Tx, on Oct. 10, 2013.
Hennington, along with co-defendant, Nathaniel Jones, 31, attempted seven other robberies in Louisiana and Texas. The duo committed 27 other robberies in Texas from July 2013 to January 2014.
These crimes occurred in the following counties: Travis, Rusk, Kerr, Brown, Comal, Guadalupe, Harris, Bastrop, McLennan, Caldwell, Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Hays, Gonzales, Anderson, Washington, Fayette, Houston, and Nacogdoches.
Evidence found at the scene led Texas Rangers to connect the Hays City Store robbery to robberies uncovered during the Rangers’ statewide investigation.
