Custodians assaulted at knife-point
Two custodial workers were assaulted at knife-point approximately 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, according to a university-wide email.
The two workers were walking on the west side of campus from Harris Dining Hall to the Child Development Center when the suspect, who has been identified as Pablo Franco, attacked the victims with his hand and feet. He pulled a victim by the hair and held a knife to her neck while he tried to force her into his SUV.
Both victims escaped and Franco fled the scene. Franco was driving a green GMC Yukon with paper license plates. Police believe he is armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call the University Police Department at (512) 245-2805.
