Three pedestrians were injured in a hit-and-run in downtown San Marcos Sept. 2 at approximately 2 a.m., according to a press release from the City of San Marcos.

Two men, ages 26 and 29, were found lying on Hopkins Street with traumatic injuries when emergency responders arrived. They were transported to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin to treat severe head and chest injuries.

The third victim, a 28-year-old female, was treated for leg injuries and then released.
The driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Tiffany Dahl, fled the scene of the incident. Eyewitnesses described the vehicle as a 1990s model blue Chevy pickup with a broken windshield. Witnesses described the driver of the truck as a blonde female.

A truck matching the vehicle’s description was pulled over on I-35 and Wonder World Drive. Officer David Amerson connected Dahl and the matching vehicle description to the incident. Dahl was charged with three counts of failure to stop and render aid and two counts of intoxication assault. Dahl remains in jail under $75,000 bond on the five charges.
