Boone, finishing her third season at Texas State, will coach sprints, hurdles and relays. Boone's coaching staff includes Lisa Morgan (distance), Tim Cawley (jumps) and Cory Young (throws).
The IAAF Championships are July 22-27 in Oregon.

"It's an honor and a privilege to serve as head women's coach for the World Championships," Boone said. "It is truly a unique experience that I will carry with me for a long time."

Texas State clinched three conference championships and Boone earned Coach of the Year honors for each championship. Darian Brown, junior thrower, and Allie Saunders, junior jumper, qualified for the 2014 NCAA Championship Finals this season.
