A Sac N Pac convenience store on Aquarena Springs Drive was robbed Wednesday evening by two armed men.

The robbery occurred around 8:15 p.m. when the men entered the store, according to Cmdr. Penny Dunn in a city press release.

One suspect held a revolver and jumped over the store counter while pointing the gun at two store employees, according the City of San Marcos press release. The second suspect was armed with a rifle and guarded the door.

The two robbers took an unspecified amount of money from two cash registers in the store and fled on foot. The suspects were last spotted running in the direction of the State Flats Apartments at 1640 Aquarena Springs Drive, according to the press release.

No employees were harmed during the robbery, but police are concerned the suspects could attempt more robberies in the future, according to the release. The two men were in and out of the store in 30 seconds.

The Sac N Pac store is currently open for business, and two of the store’s employees declined to comment on the robbery.

The two suspects are thought to be Hispanic males in their late teens to early 20s, according to the release.

The suspects were wearing black hoodies, black pants, black shoes and masks, as seen in the store’s surveillance video.

The city is not releasing any further details at this time, according to City Spokeswoman Melissa Millecam.
