The Texas State baseball team reached base five times in its 3-2 loss to the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans.

The Bobcats lost two of three home games against the Trojans, their second series loss at home this season.

The Bobcats didn't reach base until the fifth inning. Trojans' player Cameron Allen hit freshman left fielder Granger Studdard by a pitch. Austin O'Neal, senior first baseman, tied the game at 1 with a double.

The Trojans scored 2 runs in the following inning—a solo home run from shortstop Austin Pfeiffer and a 1-run double from Bryson Thionnet.

Texas State pinch hit with junior Colby Targun in the bottom of the eighth inning. Targun grounded out to shortstop, scoring Tyler Pearson, senior catcher, on the play. The Bobcats stranded Cody Lovejoy, junior right fielder, at third base in the inning.

Texas State is 28-23 this season and 16-11 in the Sun Belt conference. The Bobcats, the third-seed in the conference, have four remaining games before the Sun Belt postseason tournament.
