Baseball defeats Arkansas-Little Rock in second game of series

The Texas State baseball team defeated Arkansas-Little Rock 6-2 to even the three game series at one win each. 
Colby Targun, junior outfielder, recorded the first RBI for the team with a bases loaded walk in the first inning. Tyler Pearson, senior catcher, followed Targun’s walk with a bases loaded walk to extend the lead to 2-0. 
The team followed the 2 run first inning with a 3 run second inning. Texas State scored 2 runs off freshman outfielder Granger Studdard's double. Austin O’Neal, senior infielder, singled to score Studdard from second and advanced to second on a throwing error to extend the lead to 5-0. 
Tanner Rockwell, Trojan infielder, drove in 2 runs in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 5-2.
Ben McElroy, junior outfielder, doubled in the bottom of the sixth to score Trey Hicks, freshman infielder, from second. 
Taylor Black, junior pitcher, pitched seven innings, allowing two earned runs, striking out eight, while walking four to earn his sixth win of the season. Sam Thoele, Trojans pitcher, threw one and one third inning. He earned his third loss of the season. 
The final game of the three-game series is tomorrow at 1 p.m.
