The Texas State softball team lost both games in a double header against Georgia State Saturday to remain winless on the road this season.
The Bobcats were outscored 18-3 in the team’s two losses against the Panthers. The team lost the first game 8-1, falling below .500 with an overall record of 21-22.
Kortney Koroll, junior designated played, homered to right center field to give the Bobcats their one run in the ball game. Koroll leads the team in home runs with seven.
Rayn House, senior pitcher, earned her 14th loss of the season. House pitched the complete game and gave up 8 runs on 11 hits.
The Bobcats were run ruled in the second game of the double header in five innings 10-2. Georgia State scored 9 of its runs on three homers in the bottom of the first inning.
Ashely Wright, sophomore pitcher, earned her fourth loss of the season, dropping her record to 2-4 on the season
Courtney Harris, junior third baseman, earned a hit in both games to extend her hitting streak to nine games. Harris hit a two RBI single down the left field line to give the Bobcats their only runs of the game in the top of the seventh inning.
Texas State is now 21-23 overall and 4-7 in conference this season. Georgia State is now 21-20 overall this season and 6-5 in the Sun Belt. The Bobcats will play its final game Sunday against the Panthers.
