Get to Know Cory Geisler, sophomore outfielder and pitcher

GT: What are some of your other favorite sports?
CG: Football and basketball.

GT: Did you fill out a March Madness bracket?
CG: I didn’t, but some of my friends have and I’ve followed along with it.

GT: What is your favorite thing to do on campus?
CG: Probably float the river.

GT: Where would you say is the best place to eat in San Marcos?
CG: It used to be the River Pub and Grill, but it’s not around anymore. So, I guess Grins.

GT:  If you could live anywhere in the world, would it be?
CG: Probably California, or I would stay here in Texas.

GT: Who is your celebrity crush?
CG: I’m going to have to say Carrie Underwood.

GT: Who is your hero?
CG: My dad. He’s just a good inspiration to me and has kept me on the right track. Him and my mom are the reason why I am here.

GT: What is your favorite part about playing baseball at Texas State?
CG: Playing for my teammates and coaches because they’re awesome.

GT: Do you or the team as a whole have any pregame rituals?
CG: We stretch with the team and hit BP and stuff. The pitchers have some rituals with the way we stretch.

GT: What are you most looking forward to this season?
CG: I’m looking forward to hopefully winning the  tournament championship and going on to Regional and seeing what we can do after that.
