Texas State set a school record Saturday night with 697 total yards in the 65-0 victory against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions.

Coach Dennis Franchione is 5-1 all-time in season openers with the Bobcats. 

The Bobcats scored on the team’s first eight possessions of the game, with seven touchdowns.


Newly renovated Whataburger opens with ribbon cutting ceremony

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 10 a.m. today for the newly renovated Whataburger.

The San Marcos location was selected to undergo major transformations and become a new prototype for future locations. It features an updated design, two drive-thru lanes and a more modern dining room that includes photos showcasing Whataburger’s history and new LED lighting.


Bobcats defeat Lady Demons in 3-0 shutout at home

The Texas State soccer team posted a 3-0 shutout on Sunday against the Northwestern State Lady Demons, extending the season winning streak to three games.


First City Pride parade must be supported

On Sep. 5-7, San Marcos will host its first Pride. Pride is an important event for the LGBTQIA community and its supporters to gather in celebration of being who you are without discrimination.
