There are contradictions that have baffled man since the beginning of time. Why does the word "big" have half as many letters as the word "little?" Why do they call it "Ovaltine?"
Day 1 of the Music Conference is over but downtown Austin is still alive with musicians, fans, vendors and people acting like musicians. The day began with a trip to the Radio Room where Anathallo was wrapping up their set. The band, from Michigan, scored rave reviews from the throngs of people leaving the venue. After scoring a free energy drink, I headed to the Mohawk where free ice cream was waiting. The Ice Cream Man (icecreamman on twitter) provided SXSW-ers with relief from the sweltering heat, which topped out at 82 degrees, by giving away free ice cream.
