Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is seeking Joshua Collins, a 26-year-old man accused of assaulting a woman.
In the early morning hours of July 4, Pflugerville police officers responded to a 911 call advising that a woman was screaming in the 500 block of Broken Feather Tail.
Officers reported the victim had red scratch marks on the left side of her face, red abrasions on her upper chest and a swollen lip. The victim identified Collins as the subject that caused her injuries.
According to reports, an argument ensued when the suspect had taken her car without permission earlier and then demanded her car keys so he could leave again. When the victim refused, Collins began hitting and throwing her around the home by pulling her hair.
The suspect got a container of charcoal lighter fluid and doused the victim with the liquid while dragging her into a room. He attempted to ignite her with a cigarette and after failed attempts, he looked for a lighter.
The victim seized the opportunity to run out the front door. The suspect was able to grab her in the street, dragging her inside by the hair. He then knocked her against the walls. She feigned unconsciousness, which made the suspect leave the scene in her vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Collins is encouraged to call 512-800-4213 or the nearest law enforcement agency.
