Picking out flowers seems to be overlooked by most brides, but jt is one of the most important aspects to think about when decorating for “the big day.”

The Floral Studio in San Marcos is dedicated to fulfilling anyone’s floral needs and will cater to any bride’s request, making wedding planning much easier.

“Our main goal is to make the bride happy,” employer Elizabeth Valdez said.

For most college students planning weddings, the spending limit is very low, but Valdez said The Floral Studio is able to work with any budget.

The studio also offers many services, from delivery to setting up the floral décor, and even advises on which flowers look best with the theme and aesthetics of the wedding.

“We sometimes get customers who already have specific colors in mind, but don’t know what flowers will look good,” Valdez said. “So we offer suggestions on what looks best and color coordinate with their theme.”

Maxine Schaffer, the owner, has a history of floral design. Valdez said she has a very modern style and keeps up with the latest designs. Schaffer has even been to Europe, New York and California to take classes and learn more about the floral industry.

“I haven’t taken a class in many years, but Maxine keeps me up-to-date with the modern designs,” Valdez said. “Our other designer has a more traditional style, so whatever the bride wants, we can do it.”
